It started with a chair
It all started 12 years ago when I found a Folke Ohlsson DUX lounge chair that was headed to the dump. The bones were good, cushions good, it just needed some light refinishing and new upholstery. Having done some woodworking in the past but zero upholstery, this was an opportunity to learn a new skill. This particular chair was the first piece I decided to keep and serves as the inspiration for my for my brand. It’s a spunky chair, a pillar of mid-century modern design that has found a new life and inspired a mission to grow awareness of the quality of vintage furniture that superior to today’s “fast furniture” that’s generic and shortlived.
